REVIVE & SURVIVE
SAN DIEGO

Revive & Survive San Diego is a partnership between the UC San Diego Herbert Wertheim School of Public Health and Human Longevity Science and the County of San Diego Emergency Medical Services with the goal of teaching 1 million San Diegans hands-only CPR, thereby increasing the chances of receiving lifesaving bystander CPR in the case of cardiac arrest.
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is a skill that can save the life of someone in cardiac arrest, along with the use of an automated external defibrillator. In cardiac arrests that occur out side of a hospital, the chances of meaningful recovery and survival drop 7-10% for every minute that CPR is delayed. Even with the fastest response times, first-responders are often minutes away. Your actions as a bystander trained in hands-only CPR can save someone's life and positively impact their recovery!

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) at UC San Diego is working alongside Keeping the Beat SD to contribute to this initiative as a community partner. Together, we provide hands-only CPR training to UCSD organizations and the greater community. Join EMS at UCSD and Keeping the Beat SD in the Revive & Survive initiative. We are seeking CPR instructors and event volunteers to help with our hands-only CPR events. To read/learn more about the Revive & Survive Initiative, visit revivesurvive.ucsd.edu.
